About the International Guideline (4th edition, 2026)

  • Guideline Governance Group

    The Guideline Governance Group (GGG) for the fourth edition (2026) has been established by NPIAP/EPUAP/PPPIA. The GGG is being led by Professor Janet Cuddigan (NPIAP) and includes four representatives from each Member Organization, a Consumer representative and a Methodologist.

    The NPIAP/EPUAP/PPPIA are delighted to collaborate with like-minded wound organizations in the development of the International Guideline’s 4th edition. We welcome representatives of these organizations onto the Guideline Development Team as participants in Panel Groups.

  • Methodology

    The methodology for the 4th edition of the Guideline will closely follow the GRADE methodology and principles. The methodology has been developed apriori.

  • Guideline Panel Groups

    The Guideline Development Team for the 4th edition includes over 240 clinical experts and consumers on Panel Groups. Panel Group members:

    ** give input into evidence to decision frameworks

    ** review evidence based recommendations and good practice statements

    ** develop implementation considerations that provide guidance on how to implement the recommendations

    ** provide opinion on consumer support material
